WWW Board Secretary
The Secretary position is an officer position on the WWW Board. The Secretary is responsible for recording member meeting minutes, emailing a copy of the minutes to all board members, then filing the minutes in the organization Record Book, The Secretary is in charge of updating name tags for member meetings, taking attendance at member meetings, reporting information received from the Membership Manager at the monthly Board meetings, and updating organizational information in the Record Book. According to the WWW bylaws, this position is held for two years.
WWW Membership Manager
This is a non-officer position designed to support the WWW Secretary. The Membership Manager will access WWW website information to oversee and report new member applications and member renewal notifications. The Membership Manager will keep the WWW Secretary informed of changes in the active member list. Monthly WWW Board meeting attendance is encouraged but not required. We encourage that this position be held for at least one year.
WWW Public Relation Officer
The Public Relations position is an officer on the WWW Board. The Public Relations officer will promote WWW events through press releases to local media, member emails, and communication with local literary arts organizations. Events include but are not limited to; workshops, “seasonal rites”, conferences, public literary readings and retreats. According to the bylaws, the Public Relations officer is designated as a two-year commitment and attends monthly Board meetings.
WWW Marketing Committee
Marketing Committee members will help the Public Relations Officer develop and implement marketing strategies which promote Women Who Write events. Committee members will maintain and update the WWW press release / marketing contact list for event promotions. Members are welcome to help represent Women Who Write and provide WWW information at community literary events. Committee members will also assist the WWW contracted Website Manager in publicizing events on the WWW website. We are looking for a minimum of two members to serve on this committee. Board meeting attendance is welcome but not required. We encourage committee members to hold the position for two years, but one year is acceptable.
WWW Website Editor
This is a non-officer related position. The Website Editor will monitor the WWW website and copy edit each new website entry. The editor will communicate with our contracted Website Manager when necessary. Board meeting attendance is welcome but not required. We encourage that this position be held for at least one year.
WWW Facebook/Social Media Coordinator
This is a non-officer related position. The Facebook / Social Media coordinator will monitor the WWW Facebook page. The Coordinator will provide updates and event postings including pictures and links to WWW events and partner events. Event postings information will be provided to the Coordinator by our Marketing Committee. WWW Board meeting attendance is welcome, but not required. We encourage that this position be held for at least one year.
