Spalding at 21c: Voice and Vision — 2-Minute Open Mic Opportunity

The Spalding at 21c: Voice and Vision literary series concludes it 2016 season on Thursday, September 15, 2016 beginning at 6pm. The program will be held at the 21c Museum Hotel, 700 West Main Street, in the upper gallery. The program is free and open to the public. Program organizer Morgan Eklund invites Women Who Write members to attend.

The September line-up includes regional voices and visionaries Jeanne Hammond (A Just Man Is Hard to Find), Sean Patrick Hill (Hibernaculum), Amelia Martens (The Spoons in the Grass are There to Dig a Moat), Lisa Williams (Gazelle in the House), Louisville playwright and retired journalist Larry Muhammad; and Spalding MFA alumni Drew Pomeroy and Martin Jennings.

Anyone may sign up that evening to do a short open-mic reading at the program’s start, on a first-come first-served basis. Note that an open-mic reading should be rehearsed and carefully times to not exceed two minutes.
