Exploring the Writer's Craft – Writer's Conference

Mark your calendar for July 18, 8:00am – 4:00pm, when Women Who Write will host their fourth annual writing conference “Exploring the Writer’s Craft.” The event will be held at Indiana Wesleyan University, Louisville Education and Conference Center, 1500 Alliant Avenue, just off Blakenbaker Parkway and Interstate 64 (inside the Gene Snyder Freeway).

The conference is open to writers of all genders, members and non-members. This full-day event features expert local and regional speakers in many genres. A light breakfast, Panera lunch, and all-day beverages will be provided in the cost of the event. A closing reception will be held at the Charr’d Bourbon Lounge in the Marriott at 1903 Embassy Square Blvd.

Admission for Women Who Write members, seniors and students is at the discounted rate of $60, and regular admission is $75. Join us for a full day of learning and fun!

Ready to Pitch Your Book to an Agent?

Here’s your chance for a ten-minute, one-on-one pitch session with literary agent Alice Speilburg. Alice is offering a limited number of pitch sessions during the Women Who Write “Exploring the Writer’s Craft” conference on July 18. Pitch sessions are $25 each. Alice, founder of Speilburg Literary Agency, is currently looking to represent nonfiction writers (including biography, food, gender issues, health, history, literary journalism, music, pop culture, relationships, science, and travel) and fiction writers (including commercial fiction, fantasy, historical, literary, mainstream, magical realism, middle grade, mystery, sci-fi, suspense, urban fantasy, western, women’s fiction, and young adult).
