Join us for a weekend of writing together this fall!
Women Who Write will host the Hidden Gems Writing Retreat October 9-11 in Vevay, Indiana – the winner of USA Today’s Best Small Town in the Midwest for 2026. We will journey an hour north to this scenic Ohio River setting and gather at the Vevay Swiss Inn, a historic, small town oasis to write together, talk craft, and share our own hidden gems.
At this gently-structured writing retreat, we hope you’ll find time and space to write, reflect, and enjoy the company of others in the creative flow. Bring a work in progress or start something new. Settle into your private room, our shared writing space downstairs, or the Inn’s “third space” (complete with a piano) for a time – and write.
Women Who Write will provide beverages, snacks, and optional lunch each day. Dinner “on your own” Friday and Saturday night.
Accommodations and Booking Information
If you will be staying over Friday and/or Saturday night, rooms are available at the Vevay Swiss Inn (100 E. Main St., Vevay, IN) on a first come, first served basis.
The Inn has 12 available rooms, all with private bathrooms and refrigerators. There are 3 first floor rooms; the remainder are on the second floor (no elevator). Two rooms have pullouts for an additional guest.
Nightly rates are $80 – $120 (plus taxes).
